Sprouts for Change enables artists of all ages to act as agents of change, providing an artistic outlet through which kids and adults can express themselves regarding the important issues facing their communities.
About Us
The organization’s inaugural campaign, Sprouts for Obama, was launched in May of 2008 to give people from around the country an opportunity to use art as a means of personalizing the inspiration they have received from Senator Barack Obama and his vision for America’s future. Subsequent campaigns will follow the same model of encouraging professional and aspiring artists alike to apply their talents in a way that raises awareness of the challenges and opportunities within their communities. The proceeds from most art sales go to charity; however, fund raising is just one element of the Sprouts for Change mission. Equally important is the goal of encouraging creative expressions that inspire thought and action surrounding important issues. In this, Sprouts for Change is an evolution of the grassroots movement - a creative expression of positive change from the ground up.
